Many possibilities, the perfect solution for every type of saddle
Different needs of various horse types require different strap arrangements. Each strap arrangement is available for every saddle type. We fit two long straps on dressage saddles and three short straps on jumping and eventing saddles. An additional third long strap or an additional point strap on jumping and eventing saddles is available at an extra charge (Art. No. 041). The installation of an additional girth strap to allow easy conversion from saddle straps to nail straps is available at any time at no extra cost.
Strap systems
Point billet straps help to stabilize the saddle behind the shoulder blades, making them ideal for round horse types with low withers. In versatile work and when riding out, the point billet strap also helps keep the saddle securely in position. The pulling force is absorbed at the strongest point of the saddle tree.
The nail straps relieve pressure in the area directly behind the shoulder – for horses with large shoulders and active forehand action.
The classic straight, center strap arrangement ensures even pressure distribution. It is positioned centrally within the girthing arrangement.
With the V-girth arrangement, the pulling force is evenly distributed across two points, stabilizing the position of the saddle. The V-girthing is also suitable for sensitive horses, as it reduces concentrated pressure points. It can be fitted as a front or rear strap; a combination as W-girth arrangement (front and rear) is also possible.
Strap systems
The classic strap arrangement for jumping and all-purpose saddles.
A combination of the point billet strap, which helps stabilize the saddle behind the shoulder, and the center billet, which provides even pressure distribution. Ideal for round horse types with low withers.
Stabilization of the saddle behind the shoulder, while ensuring optimal pressure distribution in the middle and rear panel areas.
The additional fixation of the point billet strap allows it to run very straight downward. This provides the saddle with even greater stability and reduces forward slipping. Stabilization becomes more direct, the strap cannot twist, and the saddle remains evenly aligned.
The nail straps relieve the area behind the shoulder, and the center strap provides even pressure distribution. Because the straps run straight, this system suits the normal girth position.
With the W-girth arrangement (front and rear V-girth arrangement), pressure on the horse's belly is evenly distributed and the saddle can sit more securely without the need for tighter girthing.
Maximum variability in strap configuration: point billet strap, nail strap and rear V-girth arrangement allow direct adjustment to any required girthing option. In addition, each individual strap can be secured via a keeper. Available exclusively for Sirius 2.0.
